By using 2markdown.io (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
What the Service is
2markdown.io is an online Markdown utility platform for converting, previewing, and exporting Markdown. The Service includes browser-side Markdown tools, PDF to Markdown, Markdown Viewer, Markdown to PDF, public-link conversion tools, and optional AI/OCR-assisted document conversion.
Most core tools can be used without registration. Paid plans may add higher usage limits, AI/OCR credits, public-link conversion limits, ad-free usage, or team usage pools.
Independent product and third-party providers
2markdown.io is an independent brand. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, OpenRouter, Cloudflare, Notion, Google Docs, YouTube, WeChat, Bilibili, Twitter/X, TikTok/Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Reddit, LinkedIn, or any model provider or content platform mentioned on the site.
When we mention model names, OCR providers, infrastructure providers, or content platforms, we are describing third-party integrations or supported source formats. Those names are not part of our brand.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Convert content you do not have the legal right to process, including copyrighted material you do not own or have licensed.
- Use public-link tools to bypass paywalls, login walls, access controls, platform restrictions, DRM, or third-party terms.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, security measures, or abuse-prevention systems.
- Submit malicious files designed to exploit our systems or third-party services.
- Use automated tools to convert content in bulk in a way that places undue load on our infrastructure.
- Conduct illegal activity, distribute malware, or violate the rights of others.
- Generate, process, request, or distribute sexually explicit, sexually suggestive, NSFW, exploitative, harassing, hateful, violent, or otherwise harmful content.
- Create or facilitate face-swap, deepfake, impersonation, face-manipulation, or non-consensual identity misuse workflows.
We may block access from IP addresses or networks that violate these terms.

Your content
You retain all rights to the files you upload and the Markdown output produced. We claim no ownership of your content. We do not store your files or output beyond the brief processing window described in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for the legality of the content you convert.
Third-party services
When you opt into AI/OCR mode, your file or extracted text may be sent through OpenRouter and selected model or parser providers, including Google Gemini where configured. By using AI/OCR mode, you also agree that third-party provider terms may apply to that processing. We are not responsible for third-party provider availability, processing behavior, or output quality.
The Service runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare's terms apply to the underlying delivery of the Service.
Payments, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds
Paid checkout, when enabled, is processed through a secure hosted checkout provider. Taxes, invoices, and available payment methods are shown at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel a paid subscription through the customer portal when available, or by contacting contact@2markdown.io. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund prior charges.
Refund requests should be sent to contact@2markdown.io. We review refunds case by case, including duplicate charges, accidental purchases, or material service failures. We may decline refunds for accounts that have substantially consumed plan credits, violated these Terms, or abused the Service.
We aim to respond to support, billing, cancellation, and refund requests within 3 business days.
Availability
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime, response time, or continuous availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
Rate limits, file limits, credit limits, and beta access limits are subject to change.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT CONVERSION RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR FIT FOR YOUR PURPOSE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of USD 0 or the amount you paid to 2markdown.io for the Service in the 3 months before the claim.
Modifications to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
